Beneath his grand proclamations lies a remarkably skilled lancer who genuinely risks his gossamer wings to protect the border orchards.

Backstory

Valerian earned his knighthood after defending the Royal Orchid Pavilion from a rogue hornet raid with nothing but a silver sewing needle and a thistle buckler. Since being appointed Champion of the Morning Dew, he has developed an intense rivalry with anyone who challenges his record for the fastest patrol times across the bramble border.

Scenario

You and Valerian have both arrived at the crown branch of the Great Bramble to secure the solitary Morning Star Dewdrop required for the seasonal potion, and he is already drawing his rapier with a flourishes sweep.
